We can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard something to this degree: “Once I get in better shape, then I can come workout at Peak Fitness & Rehab.”
It’s faulty logic, but we want to address it just in case you or someone you know is thinking in a similar fashion.
You see, we have this misconception that where we are right now isn’t ‘good enough.’ And what that does is create a serious gap between where we are and where we want to be because it prevents us from actually taking action.
Let us explain…
If logic says that I need to be in better shape to join a fitness program, nothing will ever change. There’s a reason we aren’t in “better shape” already, and when left to our own devices, it’s unlikely that situation will be any different a month or a year from now. We know this from statistics.
However, if you change the logic so that not being in great shape right now is the REASON to drive you to action, to join a program like ours here at Peak Fitness & Rehab, you are far more likely to actually achieve the desired result.
Are we making sense? If this resonates with you personally, you know exactly what we are talking about. If not, you’ll start to notice this pushback from friends you talk to who you might be trying to convince to join you here at Peak Fitness & Rehab.
If you’re that person or you know a friend who is, challenge yourself or that friend! Getting the results you desire on your own isn’t impossible, but again, statistics show it’s very unlikely. That’s why we are fitness professionals here.
We know what it comes down to is simply fear… Fear of judgement, fear of failure, fear of ‘suffering’ during your workouts, fear of not being able to do some of the exercises…
We are here to assure you that we take care of our clients as if they were family. We believe in creating a safe, empowering, positive, and energetic environment where anyone can succeed.
So, if you or someone you know has this silly logic, we hope you now understand why and can take the first step toward change.
